GMS Summer Studio Challenge

Welcome to the Summer Studio Challenge - your chance to learn music, have fun, and make real money too!

From June 1 to August 31, complete fun and musical challenges to earn real dollars off your fall tuition.

Each challenge is worth $1-$5 depending on the effort involved. Complete as many as you can — the more you do, the more you save!

How to Participate:

• For each challenge you complete, send a photo, video, or link by email to stevengilesmusic@gmail.com.

• For social media challenges, you must tag @GilesMusicStudio when you post — tagging is required for credit.

• Each challenge must be completed and submitted by the last day of the month it is assigned.

• Earn up to $50 in Fall Tuition Credit!

• Not enrolling for fall? You'll still receive 50% of your earned credits as a cash payout (up to $25 maximum).

June Challenges

• 🎵 Complete your first 60-minute private lesson (early June) — $1

• 🧑‍🏫 Attend Instrument Exchange Event — $2

• 👨‍👦 Participate in Duet with Dad Event — $2

• ☀️ Share a video playing outside — $2

• ✏️ Email your teacher one music goal for the summer — $1

• 🎶 Play a song backwards and send a video — $1

• 🧡 Invite a family member to watch a home practice and send a photo — $1

• 🎤 Record a “Summer Remix” of a favorite song — $2

• 🎸 Learn a short song completely by ear — send a recording — $2

• 🎸 Join June Jam Group Session — $2
  
  

July Challenges

• ✍️ Write a positive Google or Facebook review (use your best grammar!) — $5

• 👨‍🏫 Become a Teacher for a Day — record a short how-to video — $3

• 🎸 Teach a family member a simple song — send a clip of them playing it — $3

• ⭐️ Try a brand new style (jazz, pop, country, etc.) — send a short recording — $2

• 🎬 Create a 30-second video playing your favorite summer song — $2

• 🎶 Participate in Virtual Group Theory Lesson (July 13) — $2

• 📸 Perform in the Summer Fun Virtual Recital (July 27) — $2

• 😎 Practice while wearing sunglasses or a fun costume — send a clip! — $1

• ❤️‍🔥 Bring a friend to a lesson, jam, or event — $5

• 🎶 Improvise a 20-second silly song — $1

• 🎵 Play your favorite worship or pop song — send a recording — $2

• ✅ Complete the full GMS Summer Bucket List — $3

• 🏖️ Join the Summer Share & Tell Hangout (August 10) — $2

• ✏️ Confirm your fall registration — $3

• 🎉 Record your craziest final Summer Jam and share it — $2

• 🧡 Thank your parents or teacher creatively (card, post, video) — $2

• ✝️ Attend the Sunday Summer Sendoff Party + Worship (August 24) — $2

• 🎵 Complete your final 60-minute private lesson (late August) — $1

• 🤝 Invite a friend to enroll in lessons for Fall Semester — $5

• 🤩 Share your favorite thing about music in a short message or video — $5

Final Quick Rules Summary:

• Submit by end of each month.

• Email only: stevengilesmusic@gmail.com.

• Social media posts must tag @GilesMusicStudio — no screenshots accepted.

• Max rewards: $50 tuition credit OR $25 cash (if not returning in fall).
